I hope many blessings come to your son's household. I recall beautiful old buildings in Ampang...I'm sure they are all gone now :( Terima kasih for your photos!
Thank you for the kind wishes Bryan. I'll convey them to my son. You're quite right about the houses. But in the area that I would call the 'embassy row', those old grand houses still stand and if you remember trees....they're pretty well still there....but for how long is anybody's guess. But ares nearer to the main roads...well, what can I say....just compartments to house more people...be it private homes or offices. As for the photos....sama-sama kembali..
I came to your great photo blog while searching for that wonderful old hotel which was very near the old Karyaneka Center on Jalan Raja Chulan (before they moved and developed the old place). And I have enjoyed it so much, so I read your old "ssu" blog about teaching English. I wonder if I may ask you some questions if that was/is your profession? I am thinking of taking graduate studies to do the same first here in the States, and then if I can find something in overseas (SE Asia preferrably!). Would you be open to my emailing some questions about studies, jobs, what direction you see the profession moving in, etc.? I am very grateful!
