I was complaining to Maxis about their poor delivery of mms services. ( delay of up to 2 hours at times). Then I received an sms stating 'from service provider' , asking me to respond by stating 'YES' that I want my mms facilities re-configured. Of course I immediately associated this to my complaints and did what the sms instructed me to.
Next I received a thank you note for joining this 'club' together with a picture of a nudie ! I was also told that RM 4 will be added to my bill. And if I wanted to stop this , I must send an sms to a certain number.
This I did, and that sms charge is like making a long voice call . Then I received another sms from them stating that I must type " *****" which they could have mention in the first sms. So I had to send again --- thus paying again.
All in all, within 5 minute I have given close to RM 10 to these bloody b*****ds.
I was just wondering ---there must be a thousand ways that these bloody thieves could use the sms services to cheat us.
Readers--
DO YOU KNOW OF OTHER CASES (any form) WHERE THESE CHEATINGS HAPPEN THROUGH SMSes??? IT WOULD BE HELPFUL FOR US TO KNOW IN WHAT WAYS THEY CHEAT US BEFORE WE GET CHEATED .
